A Sunday walk on the wild side.

Today was one of those days when you thank goodness that you had your camera in your pocket.

Strolling with Ben down a favourite path, I had stopped to take some shots of the flooded fields when who should come splashing across them but Bambi, or could it be Rudolph?
He was too far away for me see how red his nose was!

I'll let the pictures tell the story.

As you can see I've been playing with the PicMonkey again, trying out the different effects and editing tools.

It's unusual for the fields to flood this early in the winter, January/February are the months when we're used to seeing scenes like this, but I've never met Bambi in Normandy before!

Watery Wednesday.

Driving home we were surprised to see this cow ambling along the verge.
Well they do say the grass is always greener..................................
Bon dimanche à toutes et tous.

  1. Oh a lovely sight and just before Christmas. Maybe he's making his way to the north pole. I hear they need a hand at this time of year.

Your fields look a lot like ours at the moment after all the rain.

  5. How wonderful that you had your camera with you. The deer leaping through the field is such a lovely sight, so graceful and free.

  6. Those fields really are flooded - look more like rivers!
Wonder if there is a herd of deer that have been displaced due to the flooding, maybe this little guy was separated from his family. Did Ben want to chase it?
Glad you're enjoying PicMonkey......you'll have fun with it.....and it's great for adding type quickly.

  7. Deer and cows - now that's an odd pair to encounter on a walk. I would imagine that a cow would be somewhat more common than a deer!

  9. Hi Maggie,

I absolutely love the photo in your header!!! Wow!

This post is so cute. :) Deer are so common in our area, we worry about them running out in front of our cars, especially in the fall which is their mating season. Unfortunately, during that time they're kind of oblivious to everything else around them, if you know what I mean.

I love the last photo of the cow -- such a funny expression on his face. It looks like you and precious Ben had a great outing that day.

I'm glad to see you blogging again, Maggie. I missed you when you took time out to scrapbook. Have a wonderful week.
